To host an event at Le Colonial is to step into another time & another place... French-colonial southeast Asia in the 1920s and 1930s. Le Colonial offers a dining experience faithful to Vietnamese culinary traditions.

The chef's preparations are very delicate yet distinctively vivid in flavor. Traditionally, dishes are served family style and shared among guests. Some preparations must be constructed at the table by rolling ingredients in lettuce leaves or fresh mint, and eaten by hand.

All of your guests will share and sample a variety of appetizers and salads, that will create the exciting and plentiful first course.

The entrée course includes some of our signature dishes such as Bo Sate, filet mignon with yams, long beans in a sate sauce; Chilean Sea Bass; Tom Galanga, jumbo shrimp with sugar snap peas, onions and galanga sauce with sesame seeds; or the oven roasted free range chicken Saigon style with lime dipping sauce.

A side vegetable dish and sorbet dessert are included in all group menus. Group events are held on the 2nd floor at long or round tables, as needed.

THE LOUNGE
The second floor lounge is a semi-private event space, with rattan sofas, oriental rugs, vintage Vietnamese photos in black and white print, palm plants with striking green leaves, and antique furnishings provides a comfortable setting. Jazz music and votive candles set the stage for your event.

Available for private group lunch and dinner.
Seated dinner up to 60 guests.
Cocktail party up to 75 guests.


SECOND FLOOR BUYOUT
When buying out the entire second floor area, you will create a totally private event for your guests. Guests may utilize the bar for the cocktail hour.

Set in the backdrop of the bustling Upper East Side on 57th Street, Le Colonial transports you to another place in time. The ambiance of French Colonial Vietnam has been successfully recreated by interior designer Greg Jordan, whose translation of this bygone era is revived by black and white period photos, ceiling fans, graceful palms, colorful antique armoires and wooden screens, in this two-story townhouse. The main dining room provides a formal setting for lunches and dinner while the lounge and bar on the second floor provides a more casual scene for the after hours crowd seeking a place to celebrate, for those hosting a special event or simply for an intimate rendezvous. Le Colonial has been a gem of the Upper East Side in its consistency to deliver a sensory experience of excellent food coupled by warm service, welcoming visitors for the more than ten years.
